Information We Collect

Argus Capture by Agata Hexe does not collect any personal data. All screenshots, recordings, and settings stay on your device.

We process your data based on the following legal grounds:

  • Contract performance (Art. 6(1)(b)) — to provide the application and fulfill your license
  • Legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)) — for license verification, fraud prevention, and app stability

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

  • Firebase (Google) — anonymous authentication and license verification (Privacy Policy)
  • Paddle — payment processing (Merchant of Record) (Privacy Policy)
  • Cloudflare — CDN, DNS, and content delivery (Privacy Policy)

International Data Transfers

Some of our third-party service providers are based in the United States. These transfers are protected under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (DPF) and/or Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) approved by the European Commission.

Data Retention

Argus Capture stores all screenshots, recordings, and settings locally on your Mac. No data is sent to our servers. Firebase Anonymous Authentication is used solely for license validation and trial management — no personal information is collected. Paddle processes payments as our Merchant of Record and retains transaction data per their privacy policy. Support reports sent via email are retained for 90 days.

Screen Recording & Screenshot Data

Argus Capture accesses your screen content solely for the purpose of capturing screenshots and recordings as directed by you. Captured content is saved locally to your chosen output folder. We never access, upload, or process your screen content on any server.

Children’s Privacy

Argus Capture by Agata Hexe does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (COPPA) or under 16 (GDPR). If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us at [email protected].

If you are in the European Economic Area, you have the right to:
